Applewood Vase — Subtle Traditional (Table 8)
This vase is turned from an applewood branch that came down during a storm in the Des Moines area. Cracks in the vase appeared while the wood was drying and they were filled with gold-colored epoxy, inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi. The glass inserts that are normally used don’t fit in this vase, so the vase would be for dried or faux flower use only. Do not fill the wood with water.
Dimensions: H-8.5” D-3.5”
The vase is finished with tung oil, which is an all-natural drying oil that does not require reapplication.
