Walnut Vase — Convex (Table 14)
This vase is walnut, and was turned from a tree that came down during the 2020 Derecho. Cracks in the vase appeared while the wood was drying and they were filled with gold-colored epoxy, inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi. The vase comes with a glass insert that can be removed and filled with water for live flowers. Do not fill the wood vase itself with water — only the glass insert. If water gets in the vase, dry it out as soon as possible.
Dimensions: H-8.5” D-3.5”
The vase is finished with tung oil, which is an all-natural drying oil that does not require reapplication.
